every day by David Levithan

every day  by David Levithan

As I read this, I kept wanting A and Rhiannan to end up together but like A, I could not figure out how it would happen.

Every day A wakes up in a different body. He has figured out that he stays within a reasonable distance of the last body.  Some days he is male, some days female.  The bodies are all within the same age, so each year he ages too.  Along with A, we experience a day as a drug addict, straight-laced teenager, to an overweight teenager.

This has been happening his entire life, and he has learned to "go with the flow" until he meets Rhiannan and does everything he can to make sure he is within a reasonable distance from her so that they can see each other almost every day.  She is the first person he has told about his life and they work to make the relationship work.  As A mentions love does take work and this relationship is no different.

Every day takes the saying "you never really understand another person until you walk in his or her shoes" to a different level.
