The Iron Daughter (adventure, fairies)

Book Title: The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

Topic: adventure, fairies

Thoughts: I am glad to have begun this series.  Kagawa keeps the action moving and does not have slow parts in which you want to skim over to get to the action again.  Even when they are in Leanansideh's kingdom, I know the purpose will come out later on.  Kagawa did not disappoint me.  I like the puzzle Meghan has to solve (good math problem).  I wonder what Meghan's next puzzle will be that she has to solve.

This novel leaves off where The Iron King ended with Meghan held prisoner in the Winter Court.  She still pines for Ash but hasn't seen him for a long time.  When the scepter that controls the seasons is stolen by the Iron fey, no one believes her.  Meghan, Ash, Puck, and another (I won't spoil it if you haven't read the first book) set out on another adventure to save Nevernever.  Just like any action/adventure movie, the main character will survive, but someone else doesn't.

I still want Meghan and Ash to end up together, and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
